After the success of the ENIAC in the 40s, designers John Mauchly and Prosper Eckert once again worked together to form the Eckert-Mauchly Corporation where they created the UNIVAC (The Universal Automatic Computer). Many highly esteemed women were involved in the UNIVAC I including Grace Hopper, Adele Mildred Koss, Frances E. Holberton, Jean Bartik, Frances Morello, and Lillian Jay. Likely the only of these names you have ever heard of is Grace Hopper, however the contributions of her collegues were just as integral to the production and programming of the UNIVAC as her own.
